JRobin Whitley is trained as a musician and spiritual leader. After over twenty years working in churches in the Carolinas, Robin now works as a freelance artist, musician, storyteller and writer.





 
Robin received musical training from Pfeiffer University in Meisenheimer, NC. After five years working as a church choir director and youth director, she entered Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary (LTSS) in Columbia, SC to be trained for the ordained ministry. During her training at the seminary Robin focused on pastoral care and counseling with a special emphasis on spiritual direction. In 1994 she obtained a Masters of Divinity (M.Div.) degree with special studies in the writings of the early church mystics.

In 2005 Robin became a level II Reiki Practioner and now practices in Jackson County and the surrounding areas while also expanding her art to include the visual work of photography and pastel work.
